Credit Card Usage

Electricity

VAT & Tipping

• Tipping: Tipping is not a common practice in Korea. A 10% service charge is often included in the bill at upscale restaurants and hotels. Tipping taxi drivers is not customary unless extra services are provided.
• Tax: Foreign visitors can receive tax refunds on goods purchased at certified Tax-Free Stores (up to 30,000 KRW). Refunds can also be claimed at the customs desk when leaving the country, provided applicable receipts are submitted.
